Can I use my mobile phone with this course?

Yes you can.

HOWEVER, it is not recommended to use a mobile web browser when taking a test or quiz.

The reason being is because a mobile web browser (not a laptop or desktop web browser) does not handle single web sessions the way their beefier big relatives do on the larger machines.

When using a mobile device, once you switch to a screen where the web browser is put into the background it PAUSES until you bring it back to the front.

A laptop/desktop browser is not like this. If you open a new tab, or change to a different window, etc... the tab you left keeps running and can do work while it is not in the front. A mobile web browser does not do that. It pauses until you get back, THEN it will typically re-execute the last click you performed.

There is also no real guarantee that the mobile web browser will resume with the same web session between it and the web server. If it has trouble finding it's own web session, it could forget what you were doing and would not allow you to resume where you left off. For testing/quizzing purposes, this is a disaster when the test (or quiz) is a timed event.

You can use it to review learning materials and watch videos. You can use it to progress through the Work Center of the student. You can use it download your DE-964 learner's or operator's permit.

It is just not recommended to use while quizzing and testing.

If you do, you should not have problems if you keep the testing / quizzing web browser in the front and you work the test / quiz all the way to completion. During that time, don't check your email, open Spotify, send or read text messages to family and friends, etc. Finish the test first.. then do those other things.

OK?

Thanks.
